As a Marketing Data Analyst, you will help craft segmented audiences for campaigns across acquisition, cross-sell, retention, and in-life journeys, and translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that improve customer experience and business performance.
You will work across digital and offline data to build holistic views of our customers, optimise journey touchpoints, and support experiments from design through to measurement — bringing creative problem-solving and an eye for impact.
Salary and Location
This is a hybrid role based in our Bournemouth office. Pay: Circa £32,000 per annum. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
What you will do
- Build audience selections for multichannel marketing campaigns (acquisition, cross-sell, retention, in-life).
- Extract, manipulate and prepare data for ETL, reporting, dashboards and campaign measurement.
- Create customer segmentations and clustering models to support targeting and optimisation.
- Generate insight into customer journeys and behaviours across omnichannel touchpoints; propose tests and measure outcomes.
- Bring together digital analytics and offline data sources to produce clear, story-led recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.
- Promote self-serve and automation where possible to focus effort on the highest-value questions.
- Conduct competitor analysis and benchmarking of website, marketing and product performance.
Essential skills
- Comfortable working with large datasets and a strong analytical toolkit.
- Proficiency with SQL, Excel and Power BI; familiarity with Databricks is a plus.
- Ability to interpret data and present insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Clear communication skills; confident engaging senior stakeholders.
- Understanding of marketing principles, customer profiling and segmentation.
Desirable
- Exposure to Salesforce and Adobe marketing tools.
- Experience with Python for advanced data work.
- Familiarity with digital analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, tag management) and implementation through to insight.
- Insurance or broader financial services experience.
- AI-readiness (nice-to-have): Experience using Generative AI tools (e.g., onsite webchat/chatbot systems) to enhance customer journeys or productivity is desirable but not essential.
