As Head of Incident Management you will be a trusted advisor to the Head of Protection & Resilience, and the organisation to ensure that Allianz UK responds effectively and efficiently to incidents. This includes ensuring recovery back to normal operations as swiftly as possible with minimal customer disruption.
To enable this you must work closely with the Head of Protection & Resilience, Head of Business Continuity Management and Head of Cyber Incident Management to build, develop and implement a five-year strategy for the evolution of Incident management aligned with Allianz UK’s strategic objectives for incident management. This will be achieved through the delivery of an effective, comprehensive, professional service covering Incident Management, trend analysis, lessons learned identification, implementation, education and awareness, and execution and reporting.

Key Accountabilities
- Ensure incident management approach and playbooks are communicated and understood throughout the business, and that relevant individuals are suitably trained to execute their role in incidents.
- For specific incidents, lead the organisation’s response efforts during a disruption, working closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure a coordinated and effective response. This includes activating the business continuity and/or DR plans, communicating with key stakeholders, and managing the recovery process.
- Assess the organisation’s effectiveness at executing playbooks in response to incidents and propose and implement areas of improvement.
- Extract key insights and lessons learned from tests and incidents from across the business and create a central summary.
- Through liaison with business areas and functions, assess how any insights and lessons learned are being embedded and incorporated into business operations and activities.
- Ensure consistent reporting for all incidents across AZH, identifying and reporting on trends so that mitigating actions can be taken accordingly.
- Manage the team to deliver this effectively whilst ensuring individuals develop and perform to improve the offering to the business alongside their personal career development.

Experience
- Demonstrable experience of managing and leading significant incidents to minimise the disruption to the business and customers, limiting the potential for causing intolerable harm to customers.
- Demonstrable experience of having developed assessed the organisation’s effectiveness at executing playbooks in response to incidents and propose and implement areas of improvement.
- Considerable experience of building, developing and refining a scenario library that summarises a range of severe but plausible scenarios that can be used for testing purposes. The scenarios will be based on the risks/threats pertinent to the organisation.
- Demonstrable experience of extracting and reporting on key insights and lessons learnt from and ensuring remedial actions are completed.
- Working with financial services regulators and/or other relevant external stakeholders.
- Well versed in establishing internal and external relationships, ideally in a federated organization.
- Strong leadership experience in leading teams, and influencing across all levels.
