We are looking for a talented European Equities Analyst (f/m/d) for the Healthcare sector to provide research to several global equities teams based in Europe. This position will be based in London.
What You Will Do
- Act as industry expert, with the ability to clearly explain fundamental trends, the drivers of earnings and returns and the most appropriate means of valuation for the sector.
- Provide a formal regular screening of the sector, focusing on highlighting areas of change and/or interest, where best ideas are most likely to be generated.
- Discuss potential investments and present best ideas by writing timely buy/sell investment reports.
- Be able to compare and contrast healthcare stocks across the region providing additional value to the stock selection process in the global equities funds.
- Provide ongoing maintenance of stocks held in the portfolios by upgrading models and making recommendations, thus contributing to the overall performance.
- Participate in reviewing peer company reports by reading and commenting upon them.
- Participate in marketing and client service meetings as required.
What You Bring
- The ideal candidate is likely to be working in a similar role and will have 5 to 10 years of investment experience analysing European/Global equities, ideally gained in an international investment management firm.
- All cap investment experience preferred and ideally growth at a reasonable price with a proven track record of alpha generation.
- A passion for investing with high convictions (stock, sectors, countries) within a clear risk framework and with a sustainability mindset (ESG).
- Strong data, analytical and financial modelling skills.
- The ability to promote investment ideas proactively to portfolio managers.
- A detailed working knowledge of European companies in the Healthcare sector currently or in the recent past.
- Reasonable understanding of regional Healthcare stocks for global comparative purposes.
- Although the preference is for candidates with experience of the buy-side, sell-side experience may be considered where the candidate can demonstrate the ability to pick stocks successfully.
- Excellent academic qualifications including a university degree plus a professional qualification; preferably an MBA, Chartered Accountant and/or alternatively a CFA and ideally an ESG CFA module.
- Smart, quietly self-confident and decisive; with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Multi-regional perspective with an interest in global cultures and willingness to travel.
- Strong social values with an interest in environmental and ethical considerations.
- Self-starter, hard-working and well organized; lots of initiative, drive, energy, enthusiasm and proactiveness in the promotion of new ideas.
- Collegiate by nature; ability to work on multiple products across different teams - Growth, Thematic, Dividend/Value - as part of a close-knit team with a common goal.
- Good relationship management skills and the ability to engage with clients.
- Fluency in English both verbal and written is mandatory, an additional language would be an advantage.
- Experience with Microsoft CoPilot desired.
