You will work alongside talented colleagues who support each other and drive the business forward, writing both large corporate multinational lead business and wholesale international business in the vibrant London Market. The Impact You Will Have

As a key member of our team based in London, you will directly contribute to our success by underwriting profitable new and renewal business to achieve our Property Line of Business targets. Your role will involve negotiating participation, pricing, and terms and conditions, ensuring that we remain competitive and meet our goals. You will take ownership of accounts and clients, fostering strong relationships with both existing and new brokers and clients. Your efforts will help us build lasting partnerships and drive our business forward.

  • You will underwrite new and renewal accounts to achieve top and bottom-line targets.
  • You will negotiate participation, pricing, and terms and conditions with brokers.
  • You will manage capacity and evaluate capacity aggregations, including Natural Catastrophe Accumulation.
  • You will ensure underwriting aligns with the Line of Business governance framework.
  • You will achieve contract certainty and utilize global pricing tools for all accounts.
  • You will handle policy documentation and file maintenance accurately and efficiently.
  • You will support policy administration, credit control processes, and business acquisition.
  • You will drive involvement of functional areas in the underwriting process and liaise with MMC on market initiatives.
  • You will develop strong relationships with brokers, clients, and train less experienced staff.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • You have a CII qualification or equivalent or are working towards it.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in underwriting, brokerage, or risk management within the property sector.
  • You have experience in the London Market.
  • You have expertise in risk assessment and management, with the ability to evaluate exposures and natural hazards in the Property Line of Business.
  • You have skills in pricing and market management, analyzing performance against benchmarks and understanding market operations.
  • You have proficiency in contract drafting and interpretation, ensuring consistent and robust wordings.
  • You have a strong understanding of the policy management life cycle, including administration, issuance, and credit control.
  • You have excellent communication skills to express ideas clearly and build relationships at all levels.
  • You have influencing skills to persuade and motivate others effectively.
  • You have analytical skills to absorb, analyze, and draw conclusions from diverse information sources.
  • You are willing to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role, and the broader organization is expected.
