Role Description
Join our Personal Broker Distribution team as a Telephone Account Manager, where you will manage a portfolio of broker accounts through telephone, email and virtual engagement.
You will play a key role in building broker relationships, supporting profitable growth and retention, and helping deliver excellent broker experiences while developing your commercial and account management expertise.
Location
Please note that this is a Homebased working role, with the expectation to travel where business requires.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £40.000 per year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
- You will manage an allocated portfolio of smaller and medium-sized broker accounts, supporting growth, retention and trading performance.
- You will build and maintain strong relationships with broker contacts through regular telephone, email and virtual engagement.
- You will act as the day-to-day contact for broker queries, providing solutions and coordinating support from internal teams where required.
- You will review account performance, trading activity and management information to identify growth opportunities, trends and risks.
- You will support broker retention by proactively engaging with brokers and resolving issues effectively.
- You will prepare trading updates, reports and materials for broker reviews and internal meetings.
- You will maintain accurate records, contact plans, meeting notes and account activity within company systems.
- You will support wider Distribution team initiatives, broker projects and account management activities.
- You will ensure all activities are completed in accordance with regulatory, compliance, governance and conduct requirements.
- You will identify and escalate significant risks, issues and opportunities to Account Managers and Distribution leaders where appropriate.
Essential Skills
- Experience within insurance, financial services, sales support, customer relationship management or account management environments.
- Strong telephone communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines.
- Experience using management information and data to support decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel and Power Point.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams to resolve broker queries and deliver positive outcomes.
- Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

- Knowledge of Personal Lines insurance products and markets.
- Experience working with insurance brokers or within a broker distribution environment.
- Understanding of broker trading performance, account planning and portfolio management.

- Knowledge of governance, risk and regulatory requirements within financial services.
- Experience preparing performance reports, trading reviews and presentations.
- Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
