Allianz UK is seeking a Head of Business Intelligence to play a pivotal role in shaping how insight informs decision‑making across the organisation. This is a rare opportunity to influence outcomes at every level - from operational teams through to the Executive Committee - within one of the world's leading insurance organisations.

You will lead and evolve Allianz's Business Intelligence capability, shaping how insight is used to drive better, faster decisions across the organisation. This is a senior leadership role with real influence, partnering with executives and building a high‑performing BI function focused on measurable business outcomes.

Location: This role can be based in our London, Guildford, Bournemouth or Bristol office. Please note that this is a hybrid working role with the expectation that you attend the office 50% of your time.

About You

  • You will lead and inspire BI managers, developers and analysts, building a strong, unified team culture.
  • You will unify fragmented MI and BI teams into a single operating model with shared standards and purpose.
  • You will partner closely with senior leaders to translate business needs into actionable insight.
  • You will challenge assumptions and bring forward insight that shapes strategic decision‑making.
  • You will embed an outcome‑focused approach where insight is measured by adoption and impact.
  • You will champion trusted, well‑governed data and consistent metrics across the organisation.
  • You will continuously improve delivery through agile ways of working and innovation.

Essential Skills

  • Proven leadership of large‑scale BI or MI functions across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong experience shifting BI from reporting outputs to measurable business outcomes.
  • Ability to operate as a trusted partner to senior leaders, influencing at executive level.
  • Experience defining and embedding end‑to‑end BI delivery methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, semantic models and trusted data principles.
  • Hands‑on experience delivering BI in an agile, iterative environment.
  • Experience working within insurance or wider financial services data landscapes.

Desirable Skills

  • Practical experience with both Power BI and MicroStrategy environments.
  • Experience managing or rationalising large BI and reporting estates.
  • Exposure to AI‑augmented analytics or automated insight generation.
  • Experience leading BI teams through organisational change or consolidation.
  • Familiarity with enterprise semantic layer technologies.
  • Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
