The Team

Portfolio Solutions Transformation team sits within Global UW Transformation & IT Product Management at Allianz Commercial, part of the Chief Underwriting Office. Portfolio Solutions is Allianz Commercial's central unit for delegated authority and panels - a fast-growing distribution channel that is central to the company's growth strategy. Our team is dedicated to accelerating the strategic IT initiative that underpins the end-to-end delegated authority value chain, ensuring the systems, data flows, and processes that support Portfolio Solutions are fit to scale with the business. Working across international teams, we bring structured IT product, project management and change management discipline to deliver real transformation - shaping strategies that support our Operating Entities and Lines of Business to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions.

Role

This is a senior role created to make transformation a dedicated priority - not an add-on to already-stretched enablement and operational capacity. You will drive delivery of the target IT landscape underpinning the end-to-end delegated authority value chain, directly shaping how Portfolio Solutions scales for the future. Your impact will include:

• Scaling the IT and process landscape in line with rapid Portfolio Solutions growth
• Leading the migration of legacy systems and data to AI-enabled applications, while carefully managing risk
• Embedding sustainable adoption of new tools and ways of working across regional teams
• Balancing global standardisation with local market needs to ensure solutions work everywhere
• Development and tracking of business cases and monitoring of financials and benefit realisation

The Global Underwriting Transformation & IT Product Management Team

Our team is committed to enabling effective, transparent, and agile delivery of global underwriting and product transformation initiatives. Positioned within the CUO Office, we act as a central coordination hub, bringing together governance, change management and delivery orchestration, and stakeholder alignment across regions and functions. The team works closely with senior leadership to ensure initiatives are executed consistently, with strong controls, clear communication, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Some Of Your Specific Responsibilities Could Include

Target State Design & Implementation

• Partner with regional Portfolio Solutions teams, IT, and business stakeholders to implement the target IT landscape for Portfolio Solutions, including migration to AI-enabled applications.
• Assess the current systems landscape against the target state, identifying capability gaps, technical debt, and integration risks across the deal-to-settlement flow.

Transformation Roadmap & Delivery Ownership

• Build and maintain a prioritised transformation roadmap, sequencing system changes, data migrations, and process re-engineering initiatives against business growth milestones.
• Act as business owner for IT transformation initiatives - writing requirements, coordinating with IT/engineering delivery teams, and tracking milestones through to go-live.

Project Management

• Plan and run the transformation programme end-to-end - defining scope, workstreams, resourcing, and timelines; managing budgets where applicable.
• Apply structured project management disciplines (e.g., RAID logs, milestone tracking, steering committee governance) to keep delivery on track across parallel workstreams.
• Development and tracking of business cases

Risk Oversight, Escalation & Status Reporting

• Own end-to-end oversight of delivery risk for the target IT solution and data migration from legacy to new tools, proactively flagging risks with clear mitigation plans.
• Own regular status reporting to senior stakeholders and governance forums - tracking progress, RAG-rating workstreams, and surfacing risks and decisions needed.
• Lead detailed scoping of transformation and migration workstreams with regional and IT teams, maintaining a live dependency map across systems, data, and teams.
• Lead the people side of transformation - stakeholder engagement, communications, training
• Ensure benefit realization and adoption support, and readiness assessments to embed lasting change. monitoring effectively implemented and reported

Data & Automation

• Accelerate improvements in bordereaux data quality, straight-through processing, and automation opportunities across the value chain (e.g., API-driven data flows, reduction of manual reconciliation)

What You’ll Bring To The Role

• Leading end-to-end IT-enabled transformation programmes, ideally within insurance, delegated authority,
• Previous experience as business or product owner / manager
• Managing data migration, systems integration, or platform modernisation initiatives
• Running structured project/programme governance (RAID logs, milestone tracking, steering committees, business case development and monitoring)
• Leading organisational change and adoption for technology-enabled initiatives
• Driving automation/STP initiatives (e.g., API-driven data flows, reduction of manual reconciliation)
• Experience working with and communicating with senior and exec stakeholders to drive decisions
• Strong negotiation, collaboration and communication skills
• Ideally working previously in a role bridging business and technology or delivery teams
• Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.
