We are looking for a Senior Claims Specialist to work across Natural Resources (Energy) & Construction, based in London, UK.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain peer level relationships with brokers.
- Manage a portfolio of clients and be the main entry point for all their claims.
- Handle from FNOL to conclusion claims of varying degrees of complexity and value, incl. reporting and referrals.
- Train and develop the team and be a technical referral point for other Claims Handlers.
- Collaborate with Field Adjusters, Underwriting and Operations, and Global teams.
- Participate in IT/digital projects to share your technical insights as a Subject Matter Expert.
Qualifications
- Specialised understanding of Natural Resources and Construction claims.
- Detailed understanding of the insurance markets and competitor landscape.
- A solid understanding of coverage principles, products, wordings, terms, and conditions.
- Understanding of relevant reserving, legal framework, processes, guidelines, and litigation management.
- Well recognised relationship building with brokers at peer group level.
- Experience in working in complex, global matrix organization.
- Positive team spirit and an excitement to learn.
- Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyse, study, and examine data in detail, and draw appropriate conclusions.
- Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.
- Insurance qualifications or a relevant degree.
