Multinational Pricing Actuary role at Allianz Commercial, based in London.
The Global Pricing team is part of the Chief Underwriting Office at Allianz Commercial and is responsible for understanding Allianz Commercial portfolios, their performance and ensuring the pricing tools are calibrated to secure the company’s future profitability. You will join an international team located across London, Munich, Bucharest and Chicago.
The Impact You Will Have
Allianz Commercial is strengthening its multinational proposition including a new market-facing team as well as dedicated investments in data, technology, and customer services. The global pricing team is expanding to support this strategic development to generate market leading portfolio insight and pricing analytics.
In this role, you will report to the Head of Pricing Enablement and lead Multinational pricing topics across lines of business and regions. You will guide pricing performance of the Multinational portfolio to help Allianz Commercial meet long-term profit targets. You will represent Global Pricing in the cross-functional development of tools, data and systems that enable accurate and competitive pricing outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead Global Pricing collaboration with cross-functional multinational project teams in the production of pricing activity to achieve strategic sustainable profitable growth
- Establish and maintain pricing profitability performance analysis for the Multinational Lead portfolio across the Global Pricing function, including the production of the Pricing Normalized Loss Ratio
- Following pricing performance analytics, steer and gain support for data driven action to implement pricing changes that deliver portfolio improvements across multiple lines of business
- Monitor and oversee the financial impact of portfolio actions implemented into the Multinational market in collaboration with global pricing and specialist underwriting performance teams
- Lead the development of pricing tools, data and systems to improve the accuracy and competitiveness of Multinational Pricing, including development and maintenance of multinational capability in Radar and Radar Workbench
- Support and coordinate pricing actuaries from each line of business in the production of case pricing to meet the needs of Multinational clients
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- Degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a comparable discipline
- Experience in commercial lines pricing desirable — ideally across large corporate and specialty lines
- Qualified or nearly qualified P&C Actuary
- Experience leading or undertaking the development of pricing portfolio projections and the implementation of Technical Price calibration
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Excel, Python, SQL (or similar), VBA or other programming languages
- Experience leading activity across a global pricing team and liaising with management peers to prioritise and deliver pricing activity
- Self-motivated with the ambition to establish a new focus area within a developing global pricing team
- Partnering mentality with the ability to build strong working relationships with peers, senior leaders and wider global business areas
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Solid understanding of data analysis, automation, and AI tools, with awareness of ethical AI usage
- Results-oriented with a proven track record of delivering on-time projects and process improvements
- Ability to work in an international/virtual environment
