Junior Claims Adjuster, Entertainment

Job Purpose/Role

Based in London and reporting to the Head of Entertainment and Liability Claims (UK), you will be delivering effective and efficient claims handling support with a particular focus on property claims within the entertainment book of business. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining peer level relationships with brokers, collaborating with other functions to ensure accurate claims administration and completing general claims administration tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities

You will take on the following tasks

• Handle standard and complex claims on Entertainment policies, with a particular focus on property claims
• Input and maintain accurate claims records (e.g. reserves, payments) for designated accounts
• Process standard indemnity and expense payments
• Prepare case for settlement of claims through payment or denial
• Produce management information reports (e.g. monthly major claims movements)
• Prepare referral documentation and materials as appropriate
• Report loss information internally and externally
• Work with other functional areas in the Claims handling process, such as Underwriting and Operations, as well as with colleagues in our offices abroad

Key Requirements

• Some experience handling Corporate or Specialty line claims, ideally Entertainment or Property
• Alternatively, a degree in Law, or other appropriate discipline and looking for an entry into a career in insurance claims
• Working towards a professional insurance qualification is desirable
• At ease in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• An understanding of legal and regulatory framework
• Knowledge of reserving principles and practices and an understanding of coinsurance and reinsurance and application
• Highly organised, able to prioritise and work to deadlines
• Positive team spirit and a 'can-do' attitude
• A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization is expected.
