About the Company
Our client is a well-established and highly regarded Decorating Contractor based in Derbyshire, delivering high-quality projects across the region. Due to internal promotion, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring costs are controlled, value is maximised, and projects are delivered profitably and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of decorating projects
- Carrying out site measures for accounting purposes
- Preparing and managing cost plans, budgets, and forecasts
- Valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and account management
- Cost control and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
- Liaising with clients, site teams, and senior management
- Ensuring contractual compliance and risk management
About You
- Qualified Quantity Surveyor (degree or equivalent)
- Ideally from a Decorating / Painting & Decorating background
- Candidates from shopfitting or similar fit-out sectors will also be considered
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
