North Ridge Church (NRC) seeks a Spirit‑filled leader to serve middle and high school students in the Triangle area. The Youth Pastor will lead a full‑time ministry, partnering with families, the adult leadership team, and the broader church body to disciple, equip, and lead youth into Christ‑centered maturity.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, lead, and serve a responsible team of adult “Shepherds” and student leaders.
- Faithfully teach and preach Scripture to students and, when called upon, to the church body.
- Build purposeful relationships with students, families, and the church, providing encouragement, prayer, and support.
- Plan and lead purposeful programs and events—teaching, worship, fellowship, and periodic events—to disciple and equip youth.
- Communicate effectively and promptly with students, parents, team members, and the wider church community using online and social media tools.
- Plan, budget, and administer the youth ministry responsibly, including volunteer recruitment and financial stewardship.
- Maintain personal and relational integrity, exhibiting a genuine, faith‑based walk and transparency.
- Serve as a full member of the pastoral staff and governing board, partnering with the Lead Pastor and Elders.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in ministry or biblical studies.
- 3–4 years of experience leading a youth ministry, preferably full‑time.
- Licensed or willing to pursue licensing/ordination with the Christian & Missionary Alliance.
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and cultural issues.
- Ability to connect with and disciple middle and high school students.
- Proven experience leading/teaching Bible study.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills.
- Proficient in technology and media use.
- Proven administrative ability; experience organizing events, camps, or retreats.
- Team‑leadership and collaborative skills.
- Compliance with background check requirements.
- Affirms and supports the mission, vision, and statement of faith of NRC and the C&MA.
Employment Details
- Full‑time staff position with salary commensurate with experience.
