Our team members are at the heart of everything we do. At Cencora, we are united in our responsibility to create healthier futures, and every person here is essential to us being able to deliver on that purpose. If you want to make a difference at the center of health, come join our innovative company and help us improve the lives of people and animals everywhere.
This role is in support of Cencora's third party logistics service in Europe operating through our Alloga business. We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking Business Analyst to join our 3PL business and act as a catalyst for change. This is not a traditional BA role — you will be at the intersection of logistics operations, technology, and AI-driven innovation. You will identify opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence, robotic process automation (RPA), predictive analytics, and other digital accelerants to transform how we deliver 3PL services to our clients. You will translate complex business needs into actionable solutions, build compelling business cases, and drive measurable outcomes across the operation. The role will be hybrid with 1 to 2 days in the office (London or Woking). There will also be some requirement for travel to other sites in the UK and Europe.
Responsibilities will include:
- Identify, evaluate, and champion AI/ML and automation opportunities across 3PL operations (warehousing, transport, inventory management, client services).
- Partner with data science and engineering teams to define requirements, design AI-augmented workflows, and oversee proof-of-concept (PoC) delivery.
- Stay current with emerging technologies (LLMs, generative AI, computer vision, digital twins, process mining) and assess their applicability to 3PL.
- Drive adoption of low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate) to empower operational teams with self-service tooling.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of digital innovation initiatives, prioritised by business impact and feasibility.
- Elicit, document, and validate business requirements using a range of techniques (interviews, workshops, process mapping, data analysis).
- Translate requirements into user stories, functional specifications, and data models suitable for Agile delivery teams.
- Conduct current-state and future-state process analysis using tools such as Visio, Miro, Lucidchart, or Celonis.
- Perform gap analysis and root cause analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Define KPIs, success metrics, and benefits realisation frameworks for all initiatives.
- Act as the primary liaison for 3PL operations and commercial teams business process owners for transformation initiatives.
- Present findings, business cases, and solution options to senior leadership with clarity and confidence.
- Support change management activities — training, communications, and adoption tracking — to ensure sustainable implementation.
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops, sprint reviews, and steering committee meetings.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports (Power BI, Tableau) that provide actionable insights to operations and leadership.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to define data requirements for AI/ML model development.
- Champion a data-driven culture across the 3PL business.
We would value the following attributes and skills:
- Must be able to demonstrate experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within 3PL, supply chain, logistics, or pharmaceutical distribution.
- Demonstrable experience identifying and implementing AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives in an operational environment.
- Strong proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques — process mapping, requirements documentation, user stories, data modelling.
- Hands-on experience with data visualisation tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies and tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Confluence).
- Experience working in regulated industries (pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences) with understanding of compliance requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills — ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related discipline.
