p strong Business Development Manager - Optical Pharmaceutical Wholesale /strong /p p strong Location: Chippenham, Wiltshire (Hybrid – 2 days/week) /strong /p p strong Reporting to: Commercial Manager UK ROI /strong /p p br /p p Join Alliance and help shape growth, drive strategic partnerships and deliver Commercial Impact to our consumer healthcare business /p p br /p p Alliance is entering a pivotal phase of growth and we’re looking for a high-impact Optical Pharmaceutical Wholesale Business Development Manager to lead a unique dual role: building a brand-new Optical Channel while managing a portfolio of established Pharmaceutical Wholesale accounts. /p p br /p p This is an exciting opportunity to combine new business development with strategic account leadership, working at the forefront of a growing, cross-channel healthcare business. /p p br /p p strong What you’ll be doing as Optical Pharmaceutical Wholesale Business Development Manager /strong /p p em Build Scale the Optical Channel /em /p p • Launch and grow our presence in the Optical market /p p • Onboard and manage optical wholesalers, from setup through to growth /p p • Win and develop partnerships with major optical retail chains /p p • Lead Joint Business Plans (JBPs) to drive long-term value /p p • Deliver impactful trade marketing and promotional strategies /p p • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution and onboarding /p p • Drive sustainable revenue, distribution, and margin growth /p p em Lead Strategic Wholesale Accounts /em /p p • Manage key Pharmaceutical Wholesale relationships /p p • Own commercial negotiations (pricing, terms, promotions, ranging) /p p • Execute JBPs, forecasting, and demand planning /p p • Maximise performance while ensuring high service levels /p p • Build strong, long-term partnerships and act as trusted advisor /p p • Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory standards /p p br /p p strong What success looks like /strong /p p • Delivery of sales, revenue, and profit targets /p p • Successful establishment of a high-performing Optical Channel /p p • Execution of best-in-class JBPs and customer partnerships /p p • Consistent operational excellence and service levels /p p br /p p strong What we’re looking for /strong /p p • Proven success in Business Development or Strategic Account Management / Development experience /p p • Experience within optical sectors and Pharmaceutical / Healthcare wholesale /p p • Track record of winning new business and opening new channels /p p • Strong experience managing wholesale and/or retail accounts /p p • Skilled in commercial negotiation and strategic planning /p p • Confident in developing and delivering Joint Business Plans /p p • Highly driven, results-focused, and commercially astute /p p • Excellent relationship builder and influencer /p p • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrix environment /p p /p
