Alliance is seeking a qualified accountant to join the team as an Interim FP&A Analyst on a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity cover.
The role is expected to commence at the end of August 2026 and will be employed directly through the Alliance payroll, and you will be required to work a minimum of 2 days a week onsite in Chippenham.
This role is key in maximising the company's use of financial data to understand and drive performance, through consolidating the Group’s unit forecasts and reporting for the company's international businesses

- As an interim Financial Analyst your key responsibilities will include;
- Lead the monthly Group P&L consolidation and reporting process through Prophix, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Partner with Finance Business Partners across the UK, France, Singapore, China, and the USA to develop and maintain the rolling 24-month sales forecast.
- Maintain and enhance the Prophix reporting system, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and robust audit controls.
- Identify emerging risks and opportunities within forecasts and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Supply Chain Business Partnering
- Work closely with the Procurement team to model procurement costs and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), taking into account demand forecasts and inventory levels.
- Deliver monthly reporting and variance analysis on warehouse and distribution costs, providing insights to Finance and Supply Chain leadership.
- Ensure accurate allocation of central warehouse and distribution costs across regions and business units, maintaining strong financial controls.
- Month-End Reporting & Financial Control
- Prepare and analyse accruals for central UK overhead costs in collaboration with the Group Financial Accounting team and departmental leaders.
- Review management accounts to ensure financial transactions are accurately coded and allocated across business units and departments.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to investigate and resolve reporting issues proactively.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning
- Support the delivery of the annual budget and long-range planning (LRP) processes as a key member of the Group FP&A team.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting activities for Supply Chain, including COGS and warehouse/distribution costs.
- Provide quarterly performance updates and forward-looking forecasts to senior management, including year-to-date (YTD), year-to-go (YTG), and gap closure analysis.
- Continuous Improvement & Business Insight
- Drive improvements in financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and analytical processes across the Group.
- Lead engagement with Prophix consultants to develop and enhance reporting capabilities and system functionality.
- Analyse complex financial data to provide clear recommendations and commercial insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Deliver high-quality ad hoc analysis and reporting to meet business requirements.
- We are looking for
- A Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
- Experience of business partnering, or demonstrable experience of communicating financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Experience of using Prophix or D365 an advantage.
- Excellent communication, written and verbal, to effectively communicate at all levels across the business, including presenting results, budgets, and plans to senior leadership
