Cnc Programmer Setter Operator in Willenhall

ALLIANCE PERSONNEL are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Setter Operator to join our client based in OLDBURY.

Pay: £17.50- £19 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

Hours: 07:00-16:00 Monday to Friday ( 42.5hrs per week ) OVERTIME AVAILABLE

Key Responsibilities

Set and operate Citizen Sliding Head & Fixed Head CNC lathes (L20s, L32s – including LFV)

Set and operate Miyano Fixed Head CNC lathes with Fanuc controls

Program CNC machines for new jobs using existing G-code templates

Change tips, drills, tools, and inserts to maintain machine performance

Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

Perform first-off inspections and measure parts using vernier calipers, micrometers, ring gauges, and shadowgraphs

Follow production job card system and maintain production documentation

Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow

Key Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Setter, CNC Operator, or Sliding Head Setter

Strong knowledge of Citizen sliding head or fixed head lathes and Miyano fixed head lathes

Competence with Fanuc controls and ability to edit and optimise G-code

Ability to work with tight tolerances across a variety of metals

Good understanding of precision engineering and lean manufacturing principles

Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment and following quality procedures

A methodical, detail-oriented approach and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
