Job Purpose: To carry out the assessment, repair, and testing of electrical and electronic automotive components. Key Responsibilities: * Assess returned electrical/electronic products and determine feasibility for repair * Dismantle and rebuild units to OEM and MoD standards * Perform component-level electronic fault finding, PCB rework, and repair * Evaluate parts availability and commercial viability of repairs * Complete accurate job cards and BOM documentation * Test components and assemblies to original equipment specification * Report faults and non-conformances to the Workshop Supervisor * Maintain efficient, high-quality workmanship in line with schedules * Comply with company procedures covering H&S, quality, and QHSE requirements * Support wider workshop and ad-hoc activities as required Requirements: Technical Skills & Knowledge: * Proven experience in electronic fault finding to component level * Strong PCB rework skills (soldering, reflow, repair techniques) * Ability to read/interpret schematics and circuit diagrams * Logical approach to problem-solving and excellent attention to detail * Familiarity with QHSE standards and workshop best practices * Competence in MS Office, particularly Excel (or willingness to learn) Personal Attributes: * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Good organisational ability and multitasking capability * Positive, proactive mindset and eagerness to learn Qualifications (Preferred): * HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent in Electronics or Electrical Engineering * Previous experience in automotive, defence, or related sectors.
