Alliance Personnel are seeking a dedicated and skilled Print Finisher to join one of their clients based in Birmingham.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the final stages of production, ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications. This position requires a blend of mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various tools and materials.
Responsibilities
- Operating Machinery: Print finishers operate various machines, including folding machines, guillotine cutters, stitching machines, and binding equipment.
- Finishing Techniques: They perform tasks like cutting, folding, trimming, collating, binding, and laminating printed materials.
- Quality Control: Ensuring the quality and accuracy of the finished products by checking for errors and ensuring they meet specific standards.
- Hand Finishing: Will involve hand-finishing tasks like folding, binding, and packaging.
- Machine Maintenance: Maintaining and cleaning the equipment used in the finishing process.
- Following Instructions: Adhering to work instructions and procedures to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Communication: Communicating with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues.
- Binding: Binding books and other publications, both by hand and machine.
- Operating Equipment: Operating paper guillotines for pre-press and post-press paper cutting and trimming, and programming electronically-operated units on process, ensuring high-quality outcomes for our clients.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm and 10am - 6pm (rotating)
