We are seeking a skilled Polisher to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for refining and finishing metal or other material surfaces to achieve a high-quality, smooth finish. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and experience with various tools and fabrication techniques. The Polisher will play a vital part in ensuring our products meet stringent quality standards and customer expectations. Duties * Operate polishing equipment and hand tools to smooth and finish surfaces of fabricated components * Use grinding tools and abrasive materials to remove imperfections and achieve desired surface finishes * Assist with assembly processes by preparing parts for polishing and final inspection * Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to ensure safety and efficiency * Follow technical drawings and specifications, utilising SolidWorks or similar CAD software when necessary * Collaborate with fabrication teams to ensure proper surface preparation prior to polishing * Conduct quality checks on finished products, ensuring they meet specified standards * Utilise power tools safely and effectively during the polishing process Requirements * Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, or related warehouse environments * Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of welding, tooling, and hand tools * Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous * Ability to operate grinding, polishing, and power tools safely and efficiently * Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during finishing processes * Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is desirable * Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance * Good organisational skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in mechanical work or manufacturing to develop their skills further within a dynamic environment.
