We are seeking an experienced geologist consultant for a permanent role based in a consultancy who work across the minerals, waste and environmental sectors. If you thrive on working in a fast paced environment and want to work closely with other experienced consultants on technically demanding projects, this role is for you.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver technical support across a wide range of geological services.
- Contribute to all stages of project delivery.
- Prepare desk based studies, technical reports and quantitative risk assessments.
- Supervise site investigations and provide technical oversight of contractors and field teams.
- Liaise effectively with clients, regulators and stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes.
Candidate Specification
- Strong technical knowledge of geology and environmental assessment.
- Proven experience in groundwater assessment projects.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- A good knowledge of relevant environmental legislation.
- Proficiency in hydrogeological modelling software.
- Ability to supervise office and field based activities.
- Computer literacy and adaptability to new technologies.
- Previous project management experience is desirable.
Qualifications
- Degree (preferably MSc) in Geology or Hydrogeology related subject.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., Fellow of the Geological Society).
- Full UK driving licence.
