We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse/Driver to join one of our clients based in Birmingham. This role involves managing warehouse operations, handling materials, and delivering goods efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment safely. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment.
Duties
- Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Load and unload goods using appropriate handling techniques
- Manage inventory using a warehouse management system (WMS)
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct basic equipment repairs and maintenance as needed
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse
- Deliver goods to designated locations, adhering to schedules and safety protocols
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times
- Perform basic maths calculations for inventory counts and measurements
- Support overall warehouse operations to optimise workflow and productivity
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics roles
- Valid forklift licence
- Experience with materials handling and shipping & receiving procedures
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely (up to 25kg or more)
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Basic maths skills for inventory management and measurements
- Valid driving licence with clean driving record is essential
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Monday to Thursday 7:15am - 4pm, Friday 7:15am - 2:15pm. Temp to Perm.
