Alliance Personnel are looking for an experienced and skilled CNC Setter / Programmer. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, programming and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality components within tight tolerances. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills who can work effectively within a fast-paced jewellery manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes, mills, and routers.
- Adjust offsets and tool lengths manually or using software.
- Load and verify CNC programs (G-code) before operation.
- Modify or create simple CNC programs (training provided).
- Select and load appropriate tools and materials.
- Monitor tool wear and replace tools when required.
- Carry out quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ensure components meet required tolerances and finish standards.
- Perform first-off and in-process inspection checks.
- Identify and resolve machine or programming issues.
- Work with consultants to improve machine performance and reduce metal losses.
- Provide support and cover for the wider team during absences and holidays.
