Maybe you're now winning work for an engineering consultancy, an OEM or an operator, and enjoy helping customers solve technical challenges. If that sounds like you, we'd like to talk!

We're supporting a well-established engineering business that's looking to strengthen its commercial team with someone who can open doors, build lasting relationships and identify new opportunities. This isn't about hard selling or pushing products. It's about understanding engineering problems, speaking the same language as your customers and developing long-term partnerships.

  • Developing relationships with CEOs, Directors, Engineering Managers and Principal Engineers.
  • Identifying opportunities where the business can add genuine value.
  • Leading conversations from initial introduction through to commercial agreement.
  • Working closely with internal engineering teams to understand customer requirements and develop solutions.
  • Growing existing customer relationships while opening new accounts.
  • Representing the business at customer meetings, networking events and industry exhibitions.

We'd particularly like to hear from people who have:

  • An engineering background before moving into a business development, commercial or client-facing role.
  • Experience selling engineering consultancy services, technical solutions or complex engineering capability.
  • A track record of winning new business and developing long-term customer relationships.
  • The confidence to engage with both technical and commercial decision-makers.
  • A consultative approach and genuine interest in understanding customer challenges.

Your background might include:

  • Engineering Consultancy
  • Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)
  • Operator
  • Advanced Manufacturing
  • Precision Engineering
  • Aerospace
  • Defence
  • Energy
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Infrastructure

Whether you've spent the last few years selling engineering consultancy services, recently moved from engineering into business development, or sit somewhere in between, we'd be interested in hearing from you.
