An established and growing fire engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Fire Engineer to support the delivery of complex fire engineering and Building Safety Case projects across the UK. This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative technical environment where you’ll play a key role in leading Building Safety Case Report delivery for Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs), while helping shape and mentor an expanding fire engineering team.
The Role
- Leading the preparation and management of Building Safety Case Reports
- Supporting compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022 and associated regulations
- Managing fire engineering projects from concept through to completion
- Acting as a senior technical advisor across multidisciplinary teams
- Building strong client relationships and providing expert technical guidance
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical development within the team
- Supporting business growth and continuous improvement initiatives
The work includes a broad range of projects, with experience across residential and mixed-use developments particularly valued.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience within Fire Engineering, ideally consultancy-based
- Degree qualified in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Strong experience producing technical reports and delivering fire engineering solutions
- Good understanding of Building Safety Case Reports and UK fire safety legislation
- Experience working across planning and construction stages
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership would be advantageous
- Strong communication, project management and stakeholder engagement skills
