I’m working with a well-established, specialist environmental & planning consultancy looking to hire an experienced Minerals & Waste Planning Consultant at Senior or Principal level. This is a genuinely strong opportunity for someone who wants to step into a role with more ownership, technical depth and client exposure, working on complex projects across the minerals, waste and environmental sectors.
The role:
- Lead and contribute to a range of planning and environmental projects
- Manage EIAs and Environmental Statements
- Oversee planning applications and DCO submissions
- Coordinate internal teams and external specialists
- Provide clear, practical advice to clients and stakeholders
- Support business development and ongoing client relationships
What they’re looking for:
- Solid experience in minerals & waste planning (essential)
- Strong understanding of UK planning policy and environmental legislation
- Experience working on or delivering EIA projects
- Comfortable managing projects, budgets and multiple stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- RTPI (or similar) membership preferred
