A well-established infrastructure business with over 25 years’ experience delivering across utilities and telecoms civils has recently launched a new infrastructure division focused on long-term operational and commercial performance. A senior commercial leader is now sought to help shape and drive this function. This is a high-impact role with full ownership of P&L and significant influence across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for commercial performance across a growing infrastructure division, working closely with operational teams across sectors including gas, water, telecoms, reinstatement, aggregates and traffic management.
- This is a hands-on leadership role where commercial thinking is embedded into day-to-day operations, not just reported on.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning full P&L responsibility, including forecasting, cost control and long-term planning.
- Partnering closely with operational teams to drive performance and margin.
- Supporting pricing, frameworks, bids and commercial negotiations.
- Providing clear, meaningful insights to senior leadership to guide strategic decisions.
What we’re looking for:
- Senior commercial, commercial finance or operational leadership experience within utilities, civils, infrastructure or similar.
- Strong understanding of how operational delivery impacts financial performance.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with both operational teams and senior stakeholders.
