Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Clinical Services Transformation team and play a key role in the delivery of a major Enterprise Imaging Solution (EIS) programme.

Reporting to the Clinical Services Transformation Manager, you will work across clinical, operational and technical teams to support the transformation of imaging services across the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape future ways of working, improve clinical workflows and support the delivery of technology solutions that enhance patient care and service quality.

Working in a complex, fast-paced environment, you will act as the link between stakeholders, technology teams and suppliers to ensure business needs are understood and translated into effective solutions.

Please note this is a fixed term contract of 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gathering, analysing, and documenting business, clinical and technical requirements to support programme delivery.
  • Facilitating workshops, interviews and stakeholder engagement activities to capture and validate requirements.
  • Creating user stories, process maps, use cases and other business analysis documentation to support solution design and implementation.
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across clinical, operational, digital and supplier teams, acting as a trusted liaison throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Reviewing existing workflows and processes to identify opportunities for improvement, standardisation and operational efficiency.
  • Supporting the design and implementation of technology solutions by ensuring business requirements are clearly understood and translated into effective outcomes.
  • Assisting with testing activities, including the development of test scripts, acceptance criteria and participation in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Maintaining accurate and traceable project documentation and supporting governance, risk management and change control processes.
  • Ensuring solutions comply with organisational policies, data protection requirements and relevant clinical safety standards.
  • Contributing to the successful delivery of service transformation initiatives that enhance clinical workflows, improve user experience and support better patient outcomes.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst on complex IT, digital or transformation projects.
  • Experience within healthcare environments.
  • Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and requirements gathering techniques.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear and understandable business language.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and process improvement skills.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience with Enterprise Imaging, PACS, RIS or Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards such as DICOM and HL7.
  • Understanding of NHS digital frameworks and clinical safety standards.
  • Experience supporting large-scale, multi-site transformation programmes.
  • Agile and/or PRINCE2 project experience.
  • Experience within radiology, diagnostic imaging or related clinical services.
