We have brand new opportunities for Healthcare Assistants to join our mobile team at multiple sites nationwide. We are ideally seeking individuals with prior experience in a healthcare environment; however, this is not essential as full training will be provided.
You will be required to meet and greet patients and assist the Radiographers in preparing patients for their diagnostic scan, as well as administrative duties for patient bookings, so IT proficiency is essential. You will also be required to IV cannulate patients as part of the role. Rest assured, should you not have any prior experience in IV cannulation, we will provide full training.
We are ideally looking for candidates who have been immunised against Hepatitis B; however, if you have not been immunised, please note that you must be willing to undertake an immunisation course. To be successful in this role, you must have good communication skills, both written and verbal, together with good IT and administration skills and a flexible and enthusiastic attitude.
As this is a mobile role, there will be an extensive amount of travel required. We will provide you with a company vehicle, but a full driving license for use within the UK is essential. The hours of work are 36 per week, Monday to Sunday.
The candidate should have experience in a healthcare environment as they will be required to provide both administration and customer/patient support, including chaperoning patients and assisting the Radiographers throughout the scanning process. They will also have a commitment to some admin duties related to the patient pathway in line with standard guidelines. Attention to detail is key, along with being flexible, organized, and having an enthusiastic attitude. You will need to be able to work with a high degree of accuracy and under pressure, meeting deadlines and turnaround times.
