We have brand new opportunities for Healthcare Assistants to join our mobile team at multiple sites nationwide. We are ideally seeking individuals with prior experience in a healthcare environment; however, this is not essential as full training will be provided.
As a member of the mobile team, you will be required to meet and greet patients, assist the Radiographers in preparing patients for their diagnostic scan, and perform administrative duties for patient bookings. Full IT proficiency is essential. You will also be required to IV cannulate patients as part of the role; if you have not had prior experience, full training will be provided. Candidates should be immunised against Hepatitis B. If not immunised, you must be willing to undertake an immunisation course.
To be successful in this role, you must have good communication skills both written and verbal, strong IT and administration skills, a flexible and enthusiastic attitude, and be able to work with a high degree of accuracy and under pressure, meeting deadlines and turnaround times. As a mobile role, extensive travel is required. We will provide a company vehicle, but a full UK driving licence is essential. The hours of work are 36 per week, Monday to Sunday.
Role responsibilities include:
- Assisting in patient preparation
- Chaperoning patients during scans and when necessary
- IV cannulation
- Positioning of patients on the scanner
- Clinical stock management
- Clinical audits
- Processing of patients via our E-Systems
- Admin duties: making telephone bookings for patients attending our services
- Support radiographers during scans
