We are looking for a Clinical Systems Specialist to join our Technology team, supporting the day-to-day operation and ongoing development of key clinical systems across the organisation. Reporting to the Clinical Systems Manager, this role is central to ensuring systems such as PACS, RIS, and integrations are reliable, effective, and aligned to clinical workflows. This role is primarily homebased, however there is a requirement to attend our head office in Warwick as and when required.
You will collaborate with clinical, technical, and operational teams to enhance system performance, support users, and contribute to continuous improvements that enable high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day support and management of clinical systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot system and application issues, liaising with vendors and internal teams.
- Support system upgrades, reporting, audits, and performance monitoring.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, workflows, and processes.
- Analyse and improve radiology workflows to enhance efficiency and patient care.
- Gather requirements and support the development and testing of system changes and enhancements.
- Configure clinical systems and implement improvements to workflows.
- Support system rollouts, including user support and training (particularly PACS-related solutions).
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical teams on projects and initiatives.
- Ensure systems operate in line with governance, quality, and safety standards.
- Good understanding of clinical systems and healthcare workflows.
- Experience supporting IT or clinical applications in a service environment.
- Knowledge of radiology systems such as PACS and RIS.
- Experience with system integrations and workflow tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrable customer service experience in a busy IT or clinical environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
