Alliance Medical are recruiting for a Medical Administrator to join our busy and friendly team at our centre in Holywood Road, Belfast. This is a full-time, permanent contract (37.5 hours per week) with working hours between Monday and Friday, 7:15am - 8:15pm. The candidate is required to be flexible between Mon-Friday, 7.15am - 8.15pm & in busier times Sat and Sun 7.15am - 8.15pm.
This will suit an individual who is enthusiastic and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy is key. The successful candidates will be involved in confirming & scheduling radiology appointments, updating systems, making & receiving phone calls, being the first point of contact to the patients when they arrive at the centre & providing excellent customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities:- Schedule and confirm radiology appointments with sensitivity and precision
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients and families, ensuring a warm and professional welcome
- Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls and manage appointment-related queries
- Accurately update patient records and internal booking systems
- Work closely with radiology and clinical staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Provide consistent, compassionate support to patients and their families throughout their visit
- Assist Radiographers and act as a chaperone if required for the patients and clinicians' benefit
- Provide reassurance to patients by way of clear explanation as to the nature of an examination
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience in medical administration or a healthcare setting
- A calm, caring nature
- High attention to detail and accuracy under pressure
