Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Community Service Team as our next Housing Support Officer – Tenancy Sustainment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide bespoke support to customers who cannot manage their tenancy.
  • Support residents at risk of losing their tenancy, prevent potential homelessness and reduce anti‑social behaviour.
  • Maximise rental income and build trust with customers until their tenancy is stable.

About you

  • Knowledge of Housing and Tenancy law and awareness of local specialist services.
  • Knowledge of Adult and Child Safeguarding and awareness of issues that contribute to tenancy failure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, good negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Person‑centred approach, patience and resilience to encourage engagement with complex needs.
  • Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
  • Full driving licence required or alternative transport.
