Do you understand the needs of young adult carers? Would your experience in supporting young people enable them to reach their aspirations and achieve positive outcomes? We are looking for a Senior Young Adult Carers Coordinator to join us in this exciting new role and project.

Responsible for identifying and supporting young adult carers aged 17-25 in North Somerset, you will work closely with the team to support our young carers to understand their options, whether it be educational future goals or their caring roles, to enable them to transition successfully to our adult carers service.

Building a steering group of Young Adult Carers, you will have the opportunity to shape and develop the service whilst promoting the service across our North Somerset stakeholders and educational settings. You will also get the chance to enhance your managerial skills through evaluation and feedback of support groups and managing our Young Adult Carer Coordinators.

About You

You will already know how to deliver 1:1 aspirational and employment support, particularly working to the needs of young people. A natural leader, you will be a positive member of the team, a great communicator with the ability to work independently. You will also have high levels of IT literacy as you use Microsoft Office suite alongside our own in-house systems. Flexibility around working hours will be needed as some evening work will be required. Due to the nature of this role, you will need to be able to drive with access to your own vehicle or alternative transport. The successful candidate will also be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
