We’re looking for a Procurement Business Partner to join our team in this important role where you’ll help us make sure we buy goods and services in a way that is fair, compliant and delivers good value. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, supporting them through procurement and helping improve how we do things. You’ll also be contributing to our wider purpose of creating great places to live that our customers are proud to call home.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and supporting procurement activity across the organisation. This includes running procurement exercises (tenders), helping colleagues define what they need, and guiding them through the process from start to finish. You’ll also play a key part in improving how procurement works. That might involve updating guidance and templates, supporting training for colleagues, or finding better ways of doing things. Alongside this, you’ll help ensure everything we do follows the relevant rules and regulations, including UK public procurement requirements.
Building relationships will be an important part of your role. You’ll work with colleagues to understand their future needs, plan procurement activity, and support contract management, including things like supplier reviews and price changes. There’s also a data and reporting element to the role. You’ll maintain contract records, track spend and savings, and use this information to identify opportunities for improvement.
About You
We’re looking for someone with experience in procurement, ideally in a public sector environment, who understands how procurement processes work and is comfortable managing or supporting tenders. An understanding of UK procurement regulations will be important in this role. You’ll need to be comfortable working with information and data, and able to explain things clearly to a range of people. Being organised, thoughtful and able to support others through a process will really help you succeed in this role. It would be great if you also have a professional qualification such as CIPS, or experience working in housing or a similar sector, but this isn’t essential. We know people bring different strengths, so you don’t need to tick every box to apply.
We’re reviewing applications and holding interviews as they come in, so if you are interested in the role – apply today!
