This role is in support of Cencora's third party logistics service in Europe operating through our Alloga business.
Location: Derby, (AP8) DE21 2HW
Shift Times: Rotating Shifts - 0600-1400/1400-2200
Days: Monday-Friday
Salary: £31820.76
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all direct reports and all other employees adhere to the Company Health & Safety policies/standards at all times whilst also taking responsibility for the Health & Safety of all areas in the business.
- To ensure that all accidents and near misses are reported immediately to the Loading Manager and H & S Manager with the necessary documentation completed.
- To take responsibility for fire alarm evacuations and full staff role calls.
- To ensure that operatives only use equipment for which they have been trained.
- To report any damage or defect whether it be to road or on-site equipment or property to the Loading Manager and Facilities Manager.
- Monitor standards of operation and behaviours to ensure that safe systems of work are being followed and policy requirements are being maintained. Take appropriate action where non compliance is identified.
- To adhere to Department of Transport regulations for Air Freight Security.
- To ensure that all doors are secured or manned at all times ensuring no unauthorized entry to site by challenging any personnel not displaying a valid identity pass.
- To monitor staff appearance, ensuring that the company uniform is worn and is clean and in presentable condition together with the wearing and displaying of a valid identity pass.
- To ensure that all operations are in line with MHRA and GDP standards including maintaining excellent standards of housekeeping.
- Responsibility for managing any Liquid Nitrogen alarm activation.
- To ensure that cold-chain disciplines are adhered to at all times.
- To take responsibility for all staff training to maximise their efficiency and to ensure training is completed and recorded on the training database.
- To take ownership of daily and weekly Cognos Planners ensuring that they are completed accurately in a timely manner.
- To manage departments holidays, sickness and absence to ensure quality is maintained.
- To conduct regular performance reviews and at least once annually conduct a performance appraisal with each contract operative.
- To plan resource to meet the financial and commercial needs of Alloga UK, and its clients and customers.
- To carry out effective return to work interviews for every occasion of sickness in line with the Company Procedure.
- To discipline staff in line with the Company Discipline and Grievance Procedure.
- To ensure that all HR and payroll information and documentation is completed and returned in full to the department within the set time frames.
- To encourage continuous improvement in all areas of contract operations.
- To ensure that errors identified are recorded and fed back to individuals involved with corrective action taken if required.
- To communicate effectively with the loading team and other departments.
- To ensure that all loading, transport, driver and customer documentation is completed accurately and in full.
- To create and deliver regular briefings to all staff.
- To carry out any reasonable requests as determined by Management.
- Comply with all applicable Standard Operating Procedures and Training Manuals in order to ensure activities are performed in compliance with relevant requirements of GDP, GMP (as applicable) and any ISO certifications held by the company.
- To ensure that all department activity is performed in accordance with company procedures and client instructions.
Competencies:
- Previous warehouse experience beneficial but not essential.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft products.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Confident in addressing and correcting poor performance.
