Job Purpose

The role will require you to live and work with the company’s guiding principles.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Deliver assembled orders to our customer base in the South of England to a set delivery schedule, accurately and consistently.
  • Ensure safe manual handling techniques are used and correct use of MHE suitable to the role.
  • Work alongside and within a team environment.
  • Always work in a safe manner in accordance with road transport law, drivers hours regulations and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Drive in a safe and fuel efficient manner at all times.
  • Comply with local legislative requirements & company policies and procedures.
  • Meet operational key performance indicators and address any shortfalls as an individual and as a team member.
  • Work within a physically demanding environment.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required

  • Valid Driver's HGV (C or C+E) licence, Driver's CPC and Digi Card.
  • Previous experience driving commercial vehicles; arctic’s and rigids.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the United Kingdom.
  • Sound knowledge of tachograph regulations and WTD.
  • Sound knowledge of tachograph manual entries.
  • Ability to work with and towards company Microlise scoring standards.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions.
  • Ability to count accurately and perform simple math calculations.
  • Ability to adhere to reporting procedures and safe systems of work.
  • Ability to carry out manual handling and all other requirements of the role.

Essential Requirements

Element of flexibility required for overtime, which may include weekends and Bank Holiday working where necessary. This will be agreed and with as much notice as possible, as per the Staff Handbook.
