- Hours: 39 per week (2 shifts available)
- Salary: £13.10 per hour
Shift Schedules:
- AM Shift – 6am to 4pm (8 hours allocated)
- PM Shift – 2pm to midnight (8 hours allocated)
Job Purpose
To ensure that all pick slots are cleaned regularly as per cleaning schedules, maintained to a high standard of housekeeping, and all areas are free from dust, disused packaging, and damaged equipment is replaced.
Key Accountabilities
- Cleaning of all pick faces in the warehouse including library, manual line / gravity feed, bulk, and automat areas as per cleaning schedules.
- Scheduled low‑level cleaning activities and dust control.
- Ensure the cleaning schedule is signed off by the Manager or Team Leader at the end of each shift.
- Identify and report failures to follow or complete the cleaning schedule and raise the issue with the Manager or Team Leader.
- Follow specific training to clean all areas as per work instructions.
- Ensure that cleaning stations contain clean mops and clean water.
- Empty compactor bins in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended guidelines.
- Clean compactor area at the end of the shift.
- Empty and return all cardboard cages to their designated locations.
- Separate all cardboard and plastic packaging and dispose of them in the correct waste disposal units.
- Ensure all waste materials are secured in disposal units inside and outside to prevent environmental pollution.
