Job Purpose

To accurately assemble orders using the scanning equipment at the agreed assembly rate whilst working to Company and GDP standards.

Key Tasks

  • To ensure that all work activities are in line with the Company Health & Safety policies/standards at all times.
  • To ensure that all accidents and near misses are reported immediately to the Contract Supervisor.
  • To ensure that only equipment for which full training has been received is operated.
  • To report any damage or defect whether it be to equipment, property or products to the Supervisor.
  • To ensure that personal appearance is in keeping with the company guidelines ensuring that the company uniform is worn and is clean and in presentable condition together with the wearing and displaying of a valid identity pass.
  • To ensure that all operations are in line with MHRA and GDP standards including maintaining excellent standards of housekeeping.
  • To encourage continuous improvement in all areas of contract operations.
  • To follow the Pick Work Instruction at all times.
  • To ensure that orders are assembled accurately from the scanner in a timely manner.
  • Special care must be taken at all times when assembling to avoid any unnecessary damages.
  • Pallets must be built in a safe and appropriate manner taking special care that they are securely shrink wrapped.
  • Labels identifying the pallet must be positioned as stated in the Work Instruction.
  • To carry out any reasonable requests as determined by Management.

Competencies

  • Knowledge of Warehouse Operations and Systems.
  • PC Literate.
  • Team Working.
  • Excellent Communicator.
  • Flexible approach to work and able to work shifts.
  • Punctual with a good work ethic and attendance record.
  • Able to work quickly and accurately.
  • Willingness to take responsibility for own actions.
  • Confident, enthusiastic with good interpersonal skills.
  • Uses initiative and judgement effectively to make correct decisions.
  • Honest and open approach.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse.
  • Sound Knowledge of GDP and Health & Safety.
  • Qualified in ROPT.
  • Experienced in operating an RDT.
  • Manual Handling.
  • Trained in all relevant SOP’s within 3 months.
