Job Purpose
To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.
Key Accountabilities
- Maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs, giving due regard to other road users.
- Perform daily checks to ensure the vehicle is in a roadworthy condition, including lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
- Report faults, breakdowns, accidents, or delays.
- Maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle and keep it clean.
- Ensure sufficient fuel for the day\’s work.
- Maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
- Check all orders on the drop sheets and ensure they are loaded correctly.
- Collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins, and return them to the branch as instructed.
- Handle damages/breakages promptly and correctly, especially for HazChem items.
- Maintain a smart appearance and good customer relations.
- Participate in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by management.
- Meet all Health & Safety requirements.
Essential Requirements
- A full driving license relevant to the vehicle being driven.
- Assessment of license points; a non-clean license may affect shortlisting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer care skills.
- Intermediate numeracy and literacy.
Desirable
- Previous experience in multi-drop delivery driving.
- Route planning experience.
