The Stock Control Manager is responsible for the Inventory function within the CLC; the role is essential for maintaining efficient and accurate stock control operations, ensuring accuracy, and implementing efficient processes to support the warehouse’s automated systems. This role is also responsible for the Returns function ensuring all returns are processed in a timely manner with customers credited if required. This role will also deal with any stock recalls, and damages to stock that may occur.
- Lead, motivate and supervise ensuring high productivity, to support the development of a multi-skilled stock team and fostering a positive and safe work culture.
- Onboard and train new team members while providing development opportunities to enhance skills and improve performance.
- Support the stock team members with direction, development, coaching and guidance in line with our Guiding Principles including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling that they need to succeed.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide timely feedback to team members.
- Champion the DE&I agenda, embracing an open dialogue and collaboration as part of the site’s culture, which empowers everyone to share their unique perspectives and feel valued, respected, and supported for it.
- Be a role model by demonstrating the Guiding Principles in the everyday and continuously work towards the Cencora Purpose.
- Support the Inventory & Compliance Manager in managing the stock department budget.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Work with management to identify and implement improvements in stock operations, driving efficiency and reducing operational costs.
- Plan and manage team schedules, always ensuring adequate coverage to meet operational needs, especially around recall notification.
- Monitor productivity performance and agreed KPIs with the Inventory & Compliance Manager and ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Champion and lead the health and safety culture which ensures safe processes, procedures and behaviours as well as continuous improvement through best practice activities.
- Enforce Health & Safety regulations, conducting safety audits and ensuring all team members are trained on proper safety procedures and protocols and are aware of their responsibilities.
- Ensure a culture of being safe, legal and compliant.
