- Job Purpose
To correctly assemble an order from a pick note.
All staff are expected to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use (2013/C 68/01) which is reflected in our SOP – REF Chapter 1 AHDL GDP 1.1.
It will be a requirement for all staff to be trained in this SOP and have an annual refresher.
All other GDP training will be job specific and as per your personal training matrix.
- Key Accountabilities
- Correctly pick the correct products from the pick note using a handheld scanner.
- Move between stations when required.
- When exceptions occur (e. g., stock too large for bin or no stock in location) take them to the proper location to ensure the order is fulfilled appropriately.
- Take special care to avoid damage and use the appropriate box/packaging; report all damages to the team leader or line supervisor.
- Report any pick face errors to the team leader or line supervisor immediately.
- Adhere to all company housekeeping procedures.
- Wear PPE at all times.
- Meet all health and safety requirements.
- Carry out any reasonable requests as determined by Service Center Management.
Requirements
- Excellent Customer Care
- Intermediate numeracy
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Less than 2 years of experience in warehouse support, distribution operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, or a related field
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or equivalent certification preferred
- Knowledge in warehouse operations processes, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, staging, and shipping
- Knowledge in inventory control principles, stock movement tracking, and material traceability requirements
- Knowledge in temperature‑controlled handling and cold chain support requirements for sensitive products and materials
- Knowledge in packaging materials, reusable shipping assets, and replenishment practices within warehouse operations
- Knowledge in shipment documentation, operational record‑keeping, and transaction processing requirements
- Knowledge in safe material handling practices and the use of warehouse equipment and tools
- Ability to follow established warehouse procedures and standardised work instructions
- Ability to maintain accurate records and update operational information in warehouse systems and logs
- Ability to identify inventory, packaging, shipment, and material handling exceptions for further action
- Ability to support timely and accurate order preparation and material movement activities
- Ability to manage multiple routine tasks across warehouse workflows while maintaining accuracy
- Ability to work with temperature‑sensitive materials in line with defined handling requirements
