Job Summary: To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs, and giving due regard to other road users.
- Perform a daily vehicle check to ensure roadworthy condition, including lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
- Report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
- Maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle, including cleanliness.
- Ensure sufficient fuel for the day's work.
- Maintain vehicle and contents security at all times.
- Check all orders on drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
- Collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and return them to the branch as instructed.
- Deal promptly with damages/breakages in accordance with special HazChems procedures.
- Appear in a smart manner.
- Help maintain good customer relations.
- Perform other duties including warehouse tasks as directed by management.
- Meet all Health and Safety requirements.
Essential Knowledge and Experience:
- Full driving licence suitable for the vehicle being driven.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer care.
- Intermediate numeracy and literacy.
Desirable:
- Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving.
- Route planning experience.
