- Job Summary
To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
- Perform daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness (lights, brakes, coolant, etc.).
- Report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
- Maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle, including cleanliness.
- Ensure sufficient fuel for the day's work.
- Maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
- Check all orders on drop sheets and ensure correct loading.
- Collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and return them to the branch as instructed.
- Deal promptly and correctly with damages/breakages following special procedures for Haz Chems.
- Maintain a smart appearance.
- Help maintain good customer relations.
- Perform other duties such as warehouse tasks as defined by Management.
- Meet all health and safety requirements.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Full driving licence relevant to the vehicle being driven.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer care.
- Intermediate numeracy and literacy.
- Risk assessment willingness if points on licence.
Desirable
- Previous experience of multi‑drop delivery driving.
- Route planning experience.
