Summary of Role

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Medical Courier / Driver to support the safe and timely transportation of materials, products, and medical samples. This role plays a vital part in maintaining service continuity, ensuring shipments are handled in accordance with regulatory requirements, and delivering an excellent service experience to customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled pickup and delivery activities in line with service requirements and delivery timelines.
• Verify shipment details and obtain required signatures or proof of delivery.
• Transport materials, products, and medical samples safely and securely.
• Follow planned routes and adhere to temperature control requirements where applicable.
• Communicate delivery updates, delays, and shipment exceptions promptly.
• Support loading, unloading, packaging, and labelling activities.
• Maintain accurate transport and delivery records.
• Monitor vehicle condition and report maintenance issues or packaging supply shortages.

Skills and Knowledge

• Valid driving licence with a strong and safe driving record.
• Experience in a delivery, courier, logistics, or transportation role.
• Strong attention to detail when handling documentation and shipment records.
• Ability to follow procedures, routes, and regulatory requirements.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet delivery schedules.
• Understanding of safe handling and transportation practices.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative when resolving delivery issues.

Desirable Experience

• Experience transporting medical, healthcare, or pharmaceutical products.
• Knowledge of temperature-controlled transportation requirements.
• Understanding of transport and logistics regulations.
• Experience working within a highly regulated industry.
• Familiarity with proof-of-delivery systems and transport management tools.
• Experience handling time-critical shipments.
• Knowledge of airport, transfer-point, or hand-to-hand delivery services.
• Flexibility to support adjusted schedules when required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.

Less than 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, courier operations, delivery services, or a related field required.

Certification in dangerous goods awareness, licensure in operation of the applicable vehicle class, cold chain handling, or equivalent required.
