- Hours per week: 48 hrs (Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri and Sat)
- Job Summary
To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits, traffic signs, and giving due regard to other road users.
- Perform a daily vehicle check to ensure roadworthiness (lights, brakes, coolant, etc.).
- Report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
- Maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle, including cleanliness.
- Ensure sufficient fuel for the day's work.
- Maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
- Check all orders shown on the drop sheets and load them onto the vehicle.
- Collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins and return them to the branch as instructed.
- Deal promptly and correctly with damages/breakages, following Haz Chem procedures.
- Maintain a smart appearance.
- Help maintain good customer relations.
- Assist with other duties, including warehouse tasks as defined by Management.
- Meet all Health & Safety requirements.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required
- Essential: A full driving licence relevant to the vehicle being driven (clean licence not required but points may affect decision).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer care.
- Intermediate numeracy and literacy.
- Desirable: Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving.
- Desirable: Route planning experience.
