Days of Work: Sunday to Thursday

Hours of Work: Sunday 08.00am - 14.00pm, Monday to Thursday 9.30am to 18.00pm

Salary: 36K to 38K depending on experience

Role Purpose

As a Warehouse Team Manager at Alliance Healthcare, you will be leading an operational section of our business, overseeing day-to-day activity to ensure we meet customer needs and drive operational excellence. You will engage and inspire staff to perform to high standards against key performance indicators, advocate the company culture, values and safety standards, and hold regular briefings to keep teams updated on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all colleagues are trained and compliant with Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use and company SOPs.
  • Develop and execute a clear operational plan that meets customer expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve safety culture, reduce costs, and enhance service.
  • Investigate and prevent service or operational failures.
  • Promote a safety-first culture and record/report incidents promptly.
  • Assist in recruitment and new-hire onboarding in line with values and behaviours.
  • Evaluate team performance, provide constructive feedback and coordinate development plans.
  • Create and implement daily resourcing plans to optimise output.
  • Deliver training on operational procedures, including GDP and SOPs.
  • Advocate and lead the Leading Lights culture within your team.
  • Manage absence and support return-to-work and welfare discussions.
  • Support the Management Team to achieve departmental and company objectives.
  • Carry out reasonable requests from Service Centre Management to promote company initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Leaders deliver 121s, PDRs, and appraisals; ensure completion of 121s, PDRs and appraisals.
  • Conduct return-to-work discussions before a colleague’s first day.
  • Maintain absence case files following policy.
  • Align with Service Centre leaders and HR when necessary.
  • Drive a customer-centric culture, engage internal customers, and champion operational excellence.
  • Review processes, recommend improvements, and manage change initiatives.
  • Build and nurture a positive culture of change management.

Additional Information

Flexibility required for overtime, including weekends and Bank Holiday work as necessary.
