About the Role

As SKIMS continues its significant expansion across EMEA, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager, EMEA to take ownership of the day‑to‑day accounting operations, financial close, statutory and management reporting, and compliance requirements for the region.

Based in London, this role will be a key member of the EMEA Finance team and will partner closely with both regional leadership and the US‑based Global Finance organisation.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our EMEA financial reporting while helping build scalable accounting processes and controls to support continued growth. This is a highly hands‑on role requiring someone who can comfortably move between detailed accounting work, compliance requirements, process improvement, and cross‑functional partnership.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting, Reporting & Month-End Close

  • Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for UK and EMEA entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Manage and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, intercompany transactions, and other month‑end activities, ensuring balance sheet accounts are appropriately reconciled, supported, and reviewed.
  • Own the preparation and review of monthly EMEA management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, supporting analysis, and commentary on performance against budget, forecast, and prior periods, including significant variances and underlying business drivers.
  • Partner closely with Global Accounting and FP&A to ensure consistency between accounting actuals, management reporting, and forecasting, while continuously improving the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of the close and reporting process.

Statutory Reporting & Audit

  • Own and coordinate UK and applicable EMEA statutory accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Lead preparation for the UK and applicable EMEA statutory audits, partnering with external auditors and internal stakeholders and maintaining the supporting schedules and financial records required for timely and accurate completion.
  • Coordinate with external accounting and advisory partners where appropriate.
  • Ensure local financial reporting remains compliant as SKIMS expands into additional EMEA markets.

VAT & Tax Compliance

  • Oversee the preparation and detailed review of quarterly UK VAT returns and applicable regional indirect tax reporting.
  • Partner with internal Tax teams and external advisors on VAT and other regional tax matters.
  • Help establish scalable processes and controls to support indirect tax compliance as the EMEA business expands.
  • Monitor accounting and compliance implications associated with new markets, channels, and business activities.

Controls & Process Improvement

  • Develop and maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, documentation, and internal controls across EMEA, ensuring they remain appropriate as transaction volumes and business complexity increase.
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies within existing accounting processes and implement practical, scalable solutions.
  • Support finance systems implementations, integrations, and process improvements impacting the region.
  • Help establish scalable accounting infrastructure and processes capable of supporting SKIMS' continued international expansion.

Cross-Functional Partnership and Team Development

  • Work closely with Global Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Retail, Operations, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Partner with key EMEA functions through regular pre-close and post-close reviews, ensuring appropriate accruals and accounting treatment ahead of close and providing clear analysis of financial performance and key variances following month‑end.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified accountant or equivalent professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) with 5+ of years post-qualified experience, ideally within a multinational or rapidly growing organisation.
  • Experience within retail, fashion, consumer products, or e-commerce is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting, statutory reporting, and audit requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, accruals, and financial controls.
  • Experience working across multiple legal entities and international markets preferred.
  • Experience implementing or improving accounts payable, bill-pay, or broader finance processes is highly desirable.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems. NetSuite experience is advantageous.
