Alliance Clinical Services specialise in waiting list improvement, working in partnership with NHS Trusts and Hospital Groups across the UK and Ireland. To date, we’ve supported over 1.2 million patients, helping them access diagnosis and treatment sooner.
As demand continues to grow, we are looking for experienced Sonographers to join our trusted pool of clinicians on a self‑employed basis, delivering additional sessions alongside your substantive role.
This is a self‑employed, sessional opportunity providing waiting list initiative (WLI) ultrasound sessions across London. It is ideal for Sonographers who want to take on extra work alongside their current NHS or permanent role, with flexibility over when they work.
We are particularly interested in Sonographers with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- General / Abdominal
- Kidneys
- Head and Neck
- Liver
- Breast
- Gynaecology
- MSK
- Testes
- Vascular
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high‑quality ultrasound examinations for diagnostic purposes
- Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort and dignity throughout procedures
- Apply in‑depth anatomical knowledge to accurately identify and assess structures
- Communicate findings effectively with the wider healthcare team
- Maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality
- Adhere to all clinical, safety, and governance protocols
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year’s experience working as a Sonographer within an NHS hospital setting
- HCPC registration (if applicable to your role/specialism)
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
- Strong clinical skills with a patient‑focused approach
