Alliance Automotive Group (AAG) is a leading distributor of passenger and commercial vehicle parts to the independent automotive aftermarket in Europe. It operates in France, the U.K., Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Hungary and Romania. AAG is a whollyâowned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company (GPC) and serves thousands of customers across Europe with a network of 75 distribution centres, approximately 2,550 stores and thousands of repairers, body shops and autoâcentres.
Location: Hybrid â based in one of our main IT offices (Birmingham, Bradford, or Rotherham). Travel to sites and other offices may be required.
Key Responsibilities- Platform Ownership & Strategy
- Lead the roadmap for AAG's CRM and integrations across multiple business units and user groups.
- Define and drive rationalisation of legacy CRM systems into a single HaloCRM platform.
- Engage stakeholders across Garage Networks, Affiliate Services, Sales, and Operations to gather requirements and prioritise enhancements.
- Translate business needs into backlog items, managing delivery and adoption across a crossâfunctional team.
- System Configuration & Administration
- Configure HaloCRM workflows, screens, automations, and integrations.
- Manage user access, permissions, roles, and security settings in line with best practice.
- Implement communication workflows using WhatsApp, ticketing, or other integrated channels.
- Maintain detailed documentation of data models, permissions, and business rules.
- Integration & Automation
- Design and manage integrations with other core platforms (e.g. ERP, eâCommerce, affiliate portals).
- Support developers and third parties with API documentation, test cases, and deployment coordination.
- Evaluate and implement lowâcode/noâcode tools where appropriate for operational automation.
- Change Management & Continuous Improvement
- Champion structured change processes to minimise disruption and ensure alignment with business needs.
- Conduct training, provide user support, and drive adoption through communication and engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate focus groups to capture feedback and plan rollouts of new processes and system functionality to UAT delegates.
- Act as subject matter expert (SME) for all things CRM related to the UK & Ireland.
- Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience with a CRM IT system or a strong IT application background with ambition to specialise in CRM.
- Handsâon configuration of workflows, forms, user access, and integrations.
- Experience or exposure working with communications platforms such as WhatsApp for Business, SMS gateways, or embedded chat tools.
- Confident managing roadmaps, product backlogs, and stakeholder communication.
- Strong grasp of APIâbased system integrations and data handling principles.
- Excellent stakeholder management and crossâteam collaboration skills.
- Ability to balance shortâterm fixes with longâterm scalability and improvement.
- Desirable Experience
- Background in B2B services, automotive aftermarket, or multiâbrand retail networks.
- Experience or exposure to HaloCRM is advantageous; training will be provided.
- Experience working with product catalogues, ticketing tools, or customer loyalty systems.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery and product lifecycle best practices.
- Understanding of affiliate or franchise business models.
- Pragmatic and delivery focused.
- Strong communicator who can translate business challenges into technical change.
