The Audit Senior leads audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring technical excellence and ethical compliance while mentoring junior associates. This role involves high visibility and direct collaboration with Managers and Partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage statutory audit engagements for SMEs across diverse industries, ensuring compliance with audit standards.
- Conduct comprehensive audit lifecycle activities including risk assessment, planning, fieldwork execution, and finalisation.
- Prepare and review full sets of financial statements under SFRS and corporate tax computations accurately and timely.
- Identify and resolve complex accounting and auditing issues through proactive discussions with Managers and Partners.
- Supervise, coach, and develop Junior Associates to maintain high-quality work and adherence to firm standards.
- Build and sustain professional client relationships to facilitate smooth audit delivery and client satisfaction.
- Ensure all audit work complies with Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA) and the firm’s ethical principles.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy.
- Candidates pursuing or possessing CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualifications are highly preferred.
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of relevant external audit experience in Singapore.
- Strong working knowledge of SFRS, SSA, and Singapore Corporate Tax.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Experience with audit software such as Caseware is an advantage; willingness to learn new systems is essential.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit engagements simultaneously.
